John Galliano has chosen Shanghai as his latest destination for showing the resort 2011 Dior collection, consisting of ready-to-wear and couture pieces. Tough presented in China, the collection is very French , very 60's and very girly. According to Galliano the connection between Paris in the 60's and Shanghai of today is the energy and excitement present in everything that has been/is done in these cities.
Lady Dior Blue
The futuristic look od Shaghai has also been an inspiration for the Lady Dior Blue campaign. Lady Dior bags collection has received a new member - the blue bag. The streets of Shanghai and the famous Pearl tower have been used as locations for the short film directed by David Lynch and starring Marion Cotillard, as well as for the print campaign which apart from Cotillard features Steven Klein.

Chanel resort 2011 collection
In Saint Tropez before the very start of the Cannes film festival, Karl Lagerfeld has presented his latest resort collection,, which was announced in the "Remember Now" trailer.
Many who witnessed the show while sipping champagne, claim that this magnificent event was very close to putting aside from the spotlight the opening of the Cannes festival. The models walked down the streets of this beautiful town on the Cote d'Azur, in a beautiful sunny day, dressed in lovely Bohemian clothes, which carried the scent of summer and the tranquility of seaside....
After the show the party continued in the so-called VIP room where the teaser trailer was filmed.

Vogue covers have always been as special as the magazine is, especially because of the fact that most of them had been shot by great names as Man Ray, Helmut Newton, Mario Testino and the like...
The book has been published by Themes & Hudson and is also available online at Amazon.

Splash of COLOR!
Wearing multiple colored watches is 80s and for many not a very attractive trend, but I have to admit that I find it great! I love the retro feel of wearing a striking colored rubber or plastic wrist watch and adding a few more makes the look even cooler. These watches make the whole outfit brighter and carry the "I feel positive" attitude. Browsing for my new buys here is what made my favorites list...
